Dear god in heaven!!!

This is MAGIC. PURE MAGIC.

I don't have the faintest idea how it could bear such a low rating as less then 4... This is an indescribably beautiful piece! Most people, myself included, would think of capturing the energy and the motion of the Space Harrier theme, but you found something totally different hidden within its notes. This... This is remarkable, this is A Whole New World, this is Beauty and the Beast, this is... I can't even describe it. The worth, emotion, joy and outright LOVE of every beautiful piece of classical music I've ever heard is in this (and not just those from Disney, haha).

You have taken this music beyond its game of origin, beyond its time of birth and beyond an and all of my possible expectations. Hats off to you; you've brought a tear to my eye and sent a shiver down my spine. This song IS pure magic.

DigitalDuck responds:

I take it you liked it, then?

Thanks for the response; I tend to get a lot of 0s for some reason, so these ratings are usually a little lower than they should be. My Afterburner remix is quite similar, so you should probably check out that one too.

Jeez... Some people.

Seriously, some people. This isn't the best thing I've ever heard, but there's no way that 1.66 is a fair score for it. I voted 5 - something I don't do often - just to drag the score into the REASONABLE.

Like I said, it isn't the best I've ever heard. It's way repetitive, and while I'm sure that was your intent, it's just... TOO repetitive for my taste. The vocal in the intro was pretty cool, though, and this on the whole makes a good DnB beat. All in all, not bad - personal opinion gives it a 4/5, 7/10 - and it's got potential, as do you. This definitely ain't no 1.66 song. :D

vexdj responds:

thanks bro..it was my first dnb tracks..thanks for the support and fair rate.. you can here my dubstep stuff here: www.soundcloud.com/dstruct-o thanks.

DUR HUR HUR THIS ISNT HARDSTYLE ZOMG

Heh. Sorry, just had to. XD No, this OBVIOUSLY isn't hardstyle; however, joke or not, I second the "Nu-Hardstyle" genre right here & now. :D

Very nice beat, I'm loving it. DL'd, 5'd and 10'd!

Gravey responds:

It's actually nice to see someone got the point of this song. Yea, this is definitely not hardstyle. Just a little joke pulled on a friend. Glad you enjoyed the tune bud.

Also, awesome that you are now part of the nu-hardstyle cult. I plan on making brochures for everyone to read and get acquainted with our core belief structure. They should have cool pics in them too of really crappy swirly lines with atmospheric textures as backdrops to show how cool our muzaks are. Cause no nu-hardstyle song, or even hardstyle song for that matter, would be complete without said artwork to represent it to the masses. :-P

Thanks for the review.

Aw HELL yeah.

I kid you not; you LITERALLY just made my face go :D

So yeah. I was just cruising the NGAP, looking for a good new jam, and boom; I hear the intro for this. Instant grin spreads over my face. DL at ten seconds in. XD

Very nice, very nice indeed. Love it.

Caine1989 responds:

Glad u like that AdamNovagen!^^

Whoa... I feel... Feel...

... EVIL.

No other way to describe this. You've just brought out my inner steampunk overlord, more strongly than I knew I had, actually. XD

TURN, MY MECHANICAL LOVELIES! TURN!!! You there, get more fuel in that boiler or I'll have you throw in instead! HWAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA!!!

PuffballsUnited responds:

Hehehe, glad you enjoyed it!

Nice, very nice! :D

This is good, and I like it; DL'd at about 0:40. Makes a nice change to have a simple, light, high-note intro rather than the usual "OMFG GET READY FOR AWESOME MWAHAHA." Not that there's anthing wrong with "heavy" intros, it's just a little overused.

Nice job here, simple, sweet, energetic, not too much of anything. Great tune! :D

ParadoxInc responds:

Thanks! Its nice to know that my hard work has paid off!

Nice! :D Oh, about files...

This is a good foot-tapper. Really good. The vocal interjection is a great addition, doubtless. :D

Now, just a quick word about the filesize issue. First off, only about 1 in 1,000,000 people can actually detect ANY audible difference between a 256Kbps and 320Kbps MP3. Seriously. It's not even worth discussing, the difference is so minute.

But in future, if your file's ove the size limit, don't panic; just contact Newgrounds direct! There are many Flash submission larger than 10MB, becaue they're GOOD. I'm sure they would've let this audio file in too. Anyway, best of luck in future! :D

DJOrsa responds:

Thanks, I had no idea. :D
Yeah, the 256kbps to 320kbps is only noticeable when blasted.. and this is the type of song to be blasted, haha. xD

Thanks for the review!

I think I just destroyed my ears...

... And I liked it. :D

I really have very little to say here, except...

KABWOOOOOM!!!

MmmCake responds:

BAM KAPOW :D

OOH!!!

That's what I actually said, out loud, when this started. Right from the get-go: "OOH!" Plus, you actually made me sit up, right away, and I am NOT talking metaphorically.

I've listened to a lot of stuff here on the NGAP, enough to hear patterns forming. The same boring intro types, same general format: start low & slow, build, swish in a reverse cymbal, maybe throw in a pause, then hit the loudness & hope for a 5/5. SO cliché. Heck, I've even done it in my own early works.

This is total originality. KABOOM. Truly unique. You may say the "real start" is at 0:14, but I say the start is at 0:00. You really made me take notice, and I LIKE what I'm noticing here! My only wish is that it had been longer, but then, that probably would have started over-reaching the originality & variation.

So, my friend, you've earned yourself a 5/5, 10/10, and a DL. Excellent work!

Fredgy responds:

haha nice :p
great you like it so much :p
ye, if i make it any longer i think it would get repetitive or just too long maybe :p
thanks;)

BOOM :D

That's the best word for this: BOOM. Just BOOM. XD

Seriously though, this is great. And despite Player-03's opinion, I don't the start is slow at ALL. I've heard enough power techno mixes to know that when you hear something low and heavy like that, it's building. Building. BUILDING.

BOOM!!!

It's the high, thin, phased (they were phased, right?) vocals that do it for me, when offset by the big, crackling sawtooth bass. Pure genius. Excellent.

Speaking of vocals, I also have enormous respect for the lyrics in this. They're the kind of lyrics I always wanted to write, but could never get my head around; they make sense, but in a ARTISTIC sense, rather than a logical one. Which is why they work so much better; being non-literal, they spark the imagination, which in turn causes mental & emotional involvement with the song.

So BOOM. BOOM guys, just BOOM. X)

ApproachingNirvana responds:

Thanks for the review! We spent a lot of time on the percussion so it's good to hear some comments on that. The vocals had a bit of chorus on them (I believe). To be honest we ended up having somewhere about 80 different tracks on this song so everything is a bit jumbled in my mind.

Thank you for the comments on the lyrics. We try to write lyrics that are relatable but not necessarily cliche and stale. We've put a lot of effort into each of our song's lyrics and we're really proud of them.

BOOM indeed. Let us know if you know any DJs that'd be interested in spinning our stuff!

Thanks again.
